A WhatsApp link lets a customer start a chat with you in one tap, without saving your number first. WhatsApp's
own format is https://wa.me/ followed by your full international number, digits only, and you can
add ?text= with a URL-encoded message to pre-fill the first message. (WhatsApp Help Center)
Where to put it
- Your website: a "Chat on WhatsApp" button on your contact page and next to prices.
- Instagram and Facebook: in your bio or page button.
- Google Business Profile: in posts and your website link area.
- Ads: as the destination for "message us" offers.
- Print: the QR code on flyers, menus, packaging and shop counters.
Tips for a message people actually send
- Keep it short and specific, so the customer only has to press send.
- Use different messages for different places ("Hi, I saw your Instagram ad…") so you know where chats come from.
- Reply fast. A WhatsApp lead that waits hours often goes to a competitor.

How do I create a WhatsApp link with a message?
Enter your WhatsApp number with the country code and type the message you want customers to start with. The tool builds a wa.me link with the message already filled in, ready to paste anywhere.
What format should the phone number be in?
Use the full international number with digits only: country code first, then the number, without a plus sign, spaces, brackets, dashes or a leading zero. For example 923001234567 for Pakistan or 15551234567 for the U.S. The tool removes spaces and symbols for you.
Does the person need to save my number first?
No. Click-to-chat links open a chat with your number even if the customer hasn't saved it, as long as the number has an active WhatsApp account.
Can I use the QR code on printed material?
Yes. Download the QR code as a PNG and add it to flyers, packaging, receipts or your shop counter. Test it with your own phone before printing.
Does this work with the WhatsApp Business app?
Yes. The link works with both WhatsApp and the WhatsApp Business app, on phones and on WhatsApp Web.
