How to use the Google Review QR Code

How to use your review QR code

  1. Get your link from your Google Business Profile, or use your Place ID.
  2. Download the QR code or the card and test it with your own phone.
  3. Put it where the good moments happen: at checkout, on receipts and invoices, in delivery bags, on a technician's job sheet.
  4. Ask out loud too. "Would you mind leaving us a quick Google review? Just scan this." works far better than a silent sign.

Stay within the rules

Ask every customer the same way, and never offer a discount, gift or prize for a review. Google's policy doesn't allow incentives or only asking happy customers, and in the U.S. the FTC's fake review rule adds federal penalties for fake or bought reviews. Our guide on how to get more Google reviews the rule-safe way includes text and email templates.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I get my Google review link?

Sign in to your Google Business Profile and choose the option to ask for reviews (it may be called "Ask for reviews" or "Get more reviews"). Copy the short link Google gives you and paste it into this tool.

What if I can't find the review link?

Use your Place ID instead. Look your business up in Google's Place ID Finder, copy the ID (it usually starts with ChIJ) and paste it here; the tool builds the review link for you.

Can I offer a discount for scanning and leaving a review?

No. Google's policy doesn't allow offering anything in exchange for reviews, and it doesn't allow asking only happy customers. Ask every customer for an honest review instead.

What size should I print the QR code?

At least 2 × 2 cm (about 0.8 × 0.8 inches) for close-up scanning, larger for walls or windows. The downloaded PNG is high resolution, so it stays sharp when printed. Always test it with your phone before printing a batch.
